Mark Fishbein is the “host” of this creative gang, for the last 5 years, he's called the meetings and acted as the chair, but little more. A New York native now living in DC, Mark has been writing poetry for over 50 years, published around, and currently has five collections available. A book of translations is currently being considered by the poet Paul Eluard. He is also a guitarist in classical and samba style. Pre-COVID, Mark performed at poetry readings, art openings, bars and weddings.

Keith David Parsons is an Adams Morgan resident, West Virginia native, and less conflicted about those facts than you might think. He believes a poem without a message is like a big hole without spikes in the bottom--why would you dig it? Ask him about his yoga dungeon.

Dana Gittings has been part of the DC Poetry Collective since April 2019. Her work explores themes such as alcohol misuse and recovery, identity, and desire. Dana is inspired by ecopoetics, surrealism, psychoanalytic theory, and spoken word, and likes to experiment with shape, ekphrastic, and found poetry. Her poetry has been featured in Abridged, Under the Basho, and Avatar, the literary magazine of St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
