A film screening and discussion with Remake on sustainable fashion!

Join Remake and Lost City Books on Tuesday, April 19 from 6:30-8:00pm ET for a short film screening, presentation, and open discussion on the environmental and human rights abuses present in the fashion industry. As part of Fashion Revolution Week and in celebration of Earth Day, Remake is hosting a community event to inspire conversation around how we can collectively break the toxic cycle of overconsumption and exploitation that is fueled by the fast fashion industry.

During this event, we will reflect on topics such as:

-The lifecycle of garments and the labor and resources involved in making our clothes

-Where our clothes end up after they are thrown out or donated

-What steps we can take to build a more ethical and sustainable closet

-The importance of community building and grassroots organizing for our collective wellbeing

Light refreshments will be provided. Attendees will receive a digital fashion advocacy toolkit and a chance to win a curated Remake Book Bundle!

The event will be in-person and will follow federal and local COVID-19 protocols, as well as COVID-19 protocols set forth by Lost City Books.

About Remake:

Remake is a social advocacy organization that works to shed light on the harmful environmental effects and human rights abuses present in the fast fashion industry through Remake's three pillars of education, advocacy, and transparency.
